I usually have spring and fall allergies. My allergies usually last between one to two months depending upon the type of year it is. This year my allergies started really early. I had colds in January and there was no let up from colds to allergies. I had allergies all the way through April until I cam in for acupuncture with Dr. Zhou. After four treatments I found relief, which I could not get with inhalers, eye drops, nasal sprays and allergy pills.
I have continued treatments with Dr. Zhou to improve my allergies, headaches and energy. I feel my health is improving in all areas. For example, I saw on the channel 4 nightly news, the heat wave of 90-degree days brought a crush/hordes of people suffering from allergies into the clinics for relief. I knew then that Dr. Zhou's acupuncture was helping me because I had no allergy symptoms, and I knew I would be suffering just like everybody else if I wasn't receiving Dr. Zhou's treatments.

  My experience with acupuncture has been amazing. Prior to seeing Dr. Zhou, I felt extremely stressed, had bad allergies, and very irregular periods. I used to get so stressed that I'd sometimes find it hard to breathe and my periods were almost non-existent. After a few months of acupuncture and herbal treatments, I had no allergies, and my stress levels and how my body handled stress improved tremendously. I felt so much more normal! Then after several more months of treatment, my periods came back. After seven months of treatment, I found out I was pregnant! I thought I'd need western medicine to help with that.   I have dry eyes. According to ophthalmologists, there are no treatments and no cure for this. I was recommended to use extra strength lubricant eye drops. Even though I use the lubricant constantly, I always have muscle tension in the back of my head, neck and shoulders. When it gets worse, pain goes to my arms. I thought I have to live with this problem.
On Wednesday, September 8th, 2004, while I was under treatment of another problem, she gave me treatment for the eye. After 45 minutes I could feel a distinct relief because the muscle tension that I had suffered from for 20 years had been very much eased.

  My mother is 76 years old and has been suffering from heart disease and high blood pressure for many years. Since last year she has been having pain in her legs, she could not bend her knees and legs. She had to use a cane to support herself, stand straight, and walk. She had visited several medical clinics and had acupuncture and massage, but no improvement at all. After she came to Dr. Zhou and had acupuncture treatment and herbs, the next day she could walk without using a cane. The pain in the knees and legs is reduced a lot.   In the late summer of 2005, while undergoing successful Arthritis pain treatments at Doctor Quli Zhou’s Eternal Health Clinic, an old dead anchor tooth to my permanent bridge became abscessed. My dentist wanted to remove the tooth as the first step in a year long repair procedure that would cost in excess of $12,000. Dr. Zhou thought she could cure the abscess and save me many thousands of dollars.
By using a combination of acupuncture and a tea from Chinese herbs, I was pleasantly amazed to see the abscess heal, saving me much personal time and trouble and, of course, thousands of dollars.

  I had a Desmoid tumor. It was aggressive and invasive. It took for surgeries to finally remove the tumor. After the last surgery, I ended up with a massive infection. I was put in the hospital and underwent intravenous antibiotic treatment. The deeper part of the infection cleared up, however the incision was still puffy and red. I was put on strong doses of oral antibiotics for several months, and the area remained swollen, red, and infected. The surgeon then took me off antibiotics and said that I would just have to wait for it to clear up. I waited six months and the area was still enough to see clear defined welts under the skin marking the un-dissolved stitches. The area is no longer red and the infection has gone away. It is healing and looking like healthy skin.

  I came to visit Dr. Zhou with a constant pain in my right hip. For more than 6 months it would wake me two to three times per night. During our initial consultation Dr. Zhou felt an aggressive treatment involving acupuncture, electronic stimulation, and herbal wraps would be best.
I am very active and did not realize how much pain I was in. I had simply gotten used to it. Now after one session, the pain is 90% gone.   I was desperate looking for help; I had accidentally obtained a very bad groin injury. I sought out my family doctor for help. I was referred to a urologist. This new doctor expressed that I would need surgery and the outcome would not be guaranteed. I felt that I needed to speak to another specialist. I sought out another doctor. The new doctor explained that I vascular surgeon was needed and it was made clear that the surgery could have a negative affect on penile erection. Furthermore, I was now referred to another specialist to do a Daper report (blood flow) in the injury area.    I have Crohn’s disease and when it is active, I have strong abdominal pains, difficulty digesting solid food, diarrhea, joint pain, and exhaustion. One of these flare-ups can be triggered by a cold or flu and the cycle can last for months once it starts. In April, I was two weeks into one of these cycles when Quli recommended I try the Bio-Ray light on the colon cycle. During the treatment I could feel parts of my intestine pulsing and moving, seemingly in relation to the frequency of the light. Even though I was lying on my stomach and the light was near my back, I could feel heat spreading in my abdomen, hips, and ankle/shin area and I had an almost metallic taste/musty smell in the back of my nose. After the treatment, Quli said my tongue had cleared up a bit in the center. I hadn’t really noticed, but she said it was thickly coated before. I noticed that my stomach finally felt warm! (When I am ill, my stomach and hips are very cold to touch.)
I came back for a second bio-ray light treatment after four days. (I checked my tongue before to see if I noticed a difference.) During the second treatment I did not feel the specific sensations I had felt the first time, and fell asleep. Afterwards I noticed the front& sides of my tongue had cleared up and my abdominal pains were much less. All of my Crohn’s symptoms were gone in three weeks after the initial treatment when they can last up to months in a lingering way. I really believe the bio-ray light jumped me out of my active Crohn’s cycle into remission. I am so glad that Quli recommended it!

  I was told by my family doctor that I had hernia on the lower part of my abdomen. According to the specialist, the only option was surgery. There was no other alternative or medication.

I had one Friday night with an improper sleeping gesture. The next day I woke up, I can't even lift up my shoulder. No words can describe the pain. I took the pain reliever but only got a temporary relief.
On Monday, I came to Eternal Health Acupuncture Center. Quli Zhou helped me to treat with acupuncture, hot cover with medicine and heat wave to the hurting spot. After one hour's treatment, the pain was greatly reduced and I could lift up my shoulder without assistance from others and be able to move as usual.
Continued with a next day's visit, the pain was totally removed and I could work and live with normal life.

   October 24, 2002 To Whom It May Concern:

I am a 61 year old male. I am a career teacher with 37 years of service in the California Educational system. I have generally experienced excellent health and only in the past five years have been made aware that age brings a new level of health maintenance. After several months of suffering from an attack of shingles and seeing very little progress with traditional medicine, I decided to try alternative health care.
made an appointment at the Eternal Health Acupuncture Center for treatment. I had read about acupuncture and had acupressure treatments along with chiropractic treatments for a back injury several years ago, but had never experienced acupuncture.
The symptoms of the residual infection in my system are numbness extending from the upper right side of my scalp, along my cheek into the right corner of my mouth. Parts of my tongue are numb and recently I have had the condition extend into my throat, larynx impairing my speech and into my right hand causing numbness of the right thumb and first two fingers on my right hand. The condition has an impact on my hearing in my right ear with a 40-60% hearing loss from time to time. Periodically I have . swarms of nerve action that can leave me dizzy, nauseated and dysfunctional. If one of these attacks begins while I'm driving, I have to pull over and wait for it to pass. If it occurs while I'm teaching I sometimes have to excuse myself from lecture.
I have tried volumes of prescription medication but nothing seems to help and I was in significant pain when I went for my first appointment for acupuncture.
Quli Zhou noticed the level of my suffering. She gave me a thorough examination and suggested we try the needles to wake up the nerves that have not recovered. My treatment took about 45 minutes and the results with only one treatment were amazing. I regained feeling in parts of my face where there has been no sensation for more than six months. Impact on the muscles of the mouth and cheek allowed them to function although some numbness remains. Numbness in my right hand became significantly less. Hearing in the right ear is almost normal. The flurries of nervous twitching are almost gone.
Tomorrow I will have my second appointment. I am determined to have as
many as necessary to bring and end to the pain and suffering. I believe acupuncture is the best treatment for this condition. Conventional medicine only provided me with pain killers that were temporary and did nothing to correct the infection and residual nerve damage.

  I am a musician. I woke up one day to find my left ear without hearing anything. It took over two weeks to be examined by the ear specialist and the diagnosis was "sudden hearing loss". I was given a medication. I visited Quli Zhou out of desperation and she started the treatment immediately with acupuncture and herbal medicine, which would not conflict with the other medication.

Quli Zhou treated me for the problem earnestly. The hard spots behind my ear and on neck gradually disappeared and the ear blockage which did not clear during the past two weeks, was gone in only two days. The distortion level of my hearing varied every day until finally I started recognizing the right tonality and the intonation as I used to hear as an instrumentalist.

When I went back to the ear specialist after two weeks, the hearing test showed normal results, which to me was 80 percent of what I used to hear, however, I belong to the lucky one third who could recover from the sudden loss of hearing. I am continuing treatment with Quli Zhou and my hearing continues to improve. The side effects of the intensive treatment have been all positive; better spirit, better metabolism and better appetite.

   I first visited Quli Zhou in June 2002. I came to her seeking help for migraine headaches. I had been plagued with migraine headaches for seven years. The headaches were increasing in frequency and severity. They could last from one to three days. I had vomited for twelve hours with the last headache. I would shake, have temperature changes from hot to cold, fatigue, and weakness. When I came to Quli Zhou the migraines were occurring every two weeks. They were becoming so painful that I would soon need to go to the hospital emergency room for help with the pain.

One Saturday in June 2002 another headache began and I was actually afraid I wouldn't be able to bear it. I looked in the telephone book for acupuncture services. I was desperate for help and I knew that all an emergency room would do was give me a pain medication. I wanted a way out of this chronic pattern of migraines and missed work.

I found Quli Zhou's advertisement and I called. She was in the office and said that I could come in immediately. When I arrived she explained that the treatment would target my liver and went to work. That first treatment helped make the pain manageable and I did not vomit. Quli Zhou was very kind and tried very sincerely to help me. I was surprised on Sunday that I felt so much better and that I didn't have the "cooked lettuce" fatigue that would usually follow a migraine.

I wanted very much to have my life back and so I've continued to see Quli Zhou. I've been greatly helped by her treatments. I rarely have a headache now. I have stopped using the two daily applications of Flonase and three daily Allegra tablets. Gradually my energy and stamina have increased to about 50% more than I had in June 2002. I particularly appreciate Quli Zhou's wisdom, expertise, and patience as she helped me. I've learned that my body needs time to restore and she was willing to persist until we reached the goal.
